Is the teenSMART discount available to my teen?

All teens (under the age of 20) who are listed as insured with a Liberty Mutual auto policy and who meet all state-specific eligibility requirements are eligible for the teenSMART discount. The Liberty Mutual teenSMART discount is currently available in California and a limited number of other US states. More states will be added in the future. Check with your local Liberty Mutual Sales Representative to see if your teen is eligible for the discount.

How much can I save on my teen's auto insurance?

Upon successful completion of the teenSMART program, teens may receive up to a 20% auto premium savings on the teen’s vehicle. Your local Liberty Mutual Sales Representative can help you calculate your savings using your actual premium. Although ADEPT Driver and Liberty Mutual work together to provide the teenSMART program to Liberty Mutual policyholders, ADEPT does not have access to individual Liberty Mutual policy information and would not be able to calculate your actual savings.

How is my teenSMART discount applied?

ADEPT sends certification results directly to Liberty Mutual weekly.

How does the teenSMART certification process work?

The final step of the teenSMART program includes a Certification Test. Teens may take the test as many times as they need to in order to pass. Once teens send their test results to ADEPT Driver a Certificate of Completion is generated and sent to the teen for their records. Liberty Mutual verifies that the teen is eligible for the discount and applies the discount as appropriate.

Can teens who have already had an accident qualify for a teenSMART discount?

Check with your local Liberty Mutual Sales Representative to find out if your teen is eligible for the discount. Even without the insurance savings, you will be reducing your teen’s risk of a crash.

Do customers need to purchase a separate copy for each teen?

A purchase is required for each teen to receive teenSMART certification. However, there are program components that can be shared by several teens. Therefore, if multiple units are sent to the same address, the additional units contain only a unique certification ID and an additional Student Workbook. The additional units are discounted with a valid Priority Code.
