Why do I need a unique Student ID and Validation Code?
I entered incorrect information in the online registration form. Can I edit it?
Can I complete the CBT in any order I want?
Can I skip right to the certification Test?
Can I exit the program in the middle of a CBT?
Make sure you have access to the internet under your computer user account. If your internet access is restricted, then install and use the program using an administrative account.
Windows XP:
1. Insert the PROGRAM SOFTWARE DVD (blue DVD) into your computer's DVD drive
2. Follow the on-screen instructions
If the installation does not automatically begin:
♦ Click START on the Windows Taskbar
♦ Choose RUN
♦ In the Run box, type D:\teensmartv3_setup.exe (where D: is the letter of your DVD drive)
♦ Click OK and follow the on-screen instructions
Windows Vista & Windows 7
1. Insert the PROGRAM SOFTWARE DVD (blue DVD) into your computer's DVD drive
2. If the AutoPlay window comes up, click on Run teenSMARTv3_Launcher.exe
3. Follow the on-screen instructions
If the installation does not automatically begin:
♦ Click START on the Windows Taskbar
♦ Choose RUN
♦ In the Run box, type D:\teensmartv3_setup.exe (where D: is the letter of your DVD drive)
♦ Click OK and follow the on-screen instructions
MAC:
1. Insert the PROGRAM SOFTWARE DVD (blue DVD) into your computer's DVD drive
2. Double-click the teenSMART-v3 shortcut on the desktop to view tiles and folders on the DVD
3. Double-click teenSMARTv3 Installer (Mac)
4. Follow the on-screen instructions
♦ Once the installation is complete, start teenSMART by double-clicking on the teenSMART desktop icon.
♦ You will first come to the teenSMART Welcome Screen. Enter your Student ID and Validation Code to register.
♦ Once you have completed the registration process, you will be taken to the teenSMART Roadmap.
♦ The Roadmap will guide you through the teenSMART program.
Why do I need a unique Student ID and Validation Code?
The Student ID is important because it is the unique identifier that ADEPT Driver uses to match your certification test results back to your original order. Your unique Student ID and Validation Code are also used to register at the start of the program. Your Student ID and Validation Code can be found on the packing slip sent with the program (if ordered directly from ADEPT). If either your Student ID or Validation Code is entered incorrectly, you will not be allowed to register and therefore will not be able to complete the program.
I entered incorrect information in the online registration form. Can I edit it?
Your Student ID, Validation Code and name cannot be edited once you complete your registration. You will be given a chance to verify and edit all of your other information prior to sending your certification test results to ADEPT Driver.
Can I complete the CBTs in any order I want?
No. You must go through the CBTs in the order indicated in the Roadmap in the teenSMART program. The Roadmap will track all of your progress. You may repeat any completed instructional segments as often as necessary.
Can I skip right to the Certification Test?
No. You must complete all of the Steps in order to certify.
Can I exit the program in the middle of a CBT?
If you exit the program in the middle of a CBT, you will be required to restart that CBT from the beginning the next time you start the program. For this reason, we recommend that you allow approximately 20 - 30 minutes to complete each CBT.
